*At the Northridge Mall, the place was called Photo Makers - it may have been called something else in your area, but I am almost certain every mall in America had one of these.
This was an excellent discovery. I found about 100 or so of these pictures tucked away in a small plastic bag and it brought back great memories. It's amazing how ridiculously popular taking these pictures and then passing it out to all of your friends were at the time. At my middle school, which was literally two blocks from the mall [any valley boy and/or girl's dream], this was the biggest thing to hit the scene since Lemon Ice Gatorade. The typical photo was as follows:
Why did we think this was so cool? Remember when like 15 people would get together to take a photo together? Remember how much drama was involved in deciding who you wanted to take your picture with let alone who would give one of your pictures to? Was I into this fad? Guilty as charged. hahah man someone out there is laughing all the way to the bank while thinking about how many pre-teens he/she suckered into this phenomenon.
For safety/embarrassment purposes, I have blurred the photos to the best of my ability.
